A Day In The Life Of A Snowplow Driver
Being a snowplow driver isn’t the easiest job in the world. While many of us are at home, wrapped up in our warm blankets in the mornings, snowplow drivers are already out there, clearing the roads in the bitter cold for all of us. To give you a better idea of what a day looks like, we’ve found an amazing photographical journey chronicling a snowplow driver’s day in Minnesota. Though this isn’t from someone driving on Albertan roads, the experience is still very similar, and should provide you with a good idea of what it’s like.
So, a day in the life of a snowplow driver:
Inside the garage at the start of the day:
Roads are cramped, visibility is poor, and it’s rush hour!
You can see just how cramped the roads get, with everyone trying to make it to work during rush hour, while the snow plow is already at work!
Another snow plow joins the fun, and they gang plow the road together.
Sometimes drivers aren’t very happy about getting stuck between two snow plows on the road, and try to pass between them, which can be extremely dangerous.
You can see how far back traffic goes behind the snow plow!
Visibility on the road can often be pretty challenging to drivers.
Finally, the snowplow driver himself, and his daughter, who has been chronicling this day!
